Back in 2011, Square Enix announced that they will be releasing an HD version of "Final Fantasy X" for the PlayStation 3. On March 19, it's now rumored that "Final Fantasy X-2" will be released with the remaster that's coming later this year. It's also been suggested that a handheld version of the two games could be released for the PlayStation Vita as well.
Square Enix has made it clear that the title is a remaster and not a remake. In the end, the game will feature a new HD finish along with a higher polygon count. Since the HD remake is taking so long, it could be possible that the title could be released on the PS4 as a launch title at the end of this year. This would make a great launch bundle for the PS4 especially with the rumored "God of War: Ascension" bundle that'll also be released.
The upcoming "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn" which is a relaunch of "Final Fantasy XIV" will be released for the PS3 later this year and could possible make it's way to the PS4. Once "Final Fantasy XV" is released in the future, it'll look like a possible third PS4 release from Square Enix. It looks like Sony's 8th generation console will be receiving a lot of 'Final Fantasy' games in it's lifetime.
Square Enix is supposedly showing off another new project for Nintendo's Wii U console at this year's PAX East conference. It's currently unknown if it'll be another 'Fantasy' title getting announced, but it could be that they'll be releasing the "Final Fantasy X" remake for the system. Also, they could release the titles for the Xbox 360 to increase the range of gamers they originally had.
Nothing has been confirmed, but remember to look out for future updates about new titles from Square Enix.
