A trademark for “Guns & Souls” was filed on Jan. 16 by Kabushiki Kaisha from Square Enix. The name suggests that it could be a first or third-person shooting video game. The application is currently under examination.
In addition to “Guns & Souls,” Square Enix is also currently working on “Final Fantasy Versus XIII.” The action role-playing title, which was first announced in 2006 along with “Final Fantasy XIII” and “Final Fantasy Type-0” as a part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythology series, currently does not have a release date.
