Shinji Hashimoto made a brief appearance during the unveiling of the PS4 during the Playstation Meeting press conference. According to a report by Nova Crystallis on Feb. 20, the vice president of Square Enix and producer of the upcoming “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” hinted that a new “Final Fantasy” video game is currently under development for the PS4. He also disclosed that more news will be revealed at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, which will take place in Los Angeles in the middle of June. Square Enix showed off their Agni’s Philosophy tech demo running in real-time on the PS4 during the event. Although “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” was rumored to be moving on to the next-generation, the action role-playing game was not mentioned during the presentation. The PS4 will be released by Sony in North America sometime during this holiday season.
