Two of the PS3 exclusive video games that were rumored to be making the jump to the next-generation, “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” and “The Last Guardian,” did not appear in Sony’s Playstation Meeting event on Feb. 20 that saw the unveiling of the PS4. According to Jeff Grubb from GamesBeat on Twitter, Sony only wanted to show third-parties with new intellectual properties for the conference, which could explain the absences of “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” and maybe “The Last Guardian (since it would be a port from the PS3 version). You can check out some screens from both potential PS4 games in the slideshow at the top of this article.
“Final Fantasy Versus XIII” was first announced in 2006 while “The Last Guardian” was unveiled in 2009. Both Playstation 3 titles have been stuck in production, leaving some to believe that the developer would be switching from the current-generation to the next. You can pre-order the two games in the following link: “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” and “The Last Guardian”
The PS4 is slated to come out this holiday season in North America.
