Atlanta’s own Hartsfield Airport has been the busiest airport in the world with all other airports combined since 2000 according to Wikipedia. Last year approximately 92,365,860 passengers was the full year figure preliminary of passengers that either arrived or departed the city. So far, 38,206,174 passengers flew from or to the airport from January to May 2012.
Travelers cannot expect to arrive at a certain destination without first making preparation and obtaining the proper ticket or tickets. In much the same way, people cannot get to heaven without first accepting Jesus as Lord.
God is a God of Love, but He will not grade on the curve. It’s simple; for or against Him. There will be no make up exams, but it is an open book test. All grades are final, which makes it a serious decision.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 (KJV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18 (KJV)
“For he that is not against us is on our part.” Mark 9:40 (KJV)
“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:12-15 (KJV)
“I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Psalm 119:7-11
Life is a journey that prepares us for our eternal home. To some of us it will be with God in heaven. To others it will be with satan and his demons in hell to receive everlasting torment. The time to plan for one’s final destination is now, before it is too late. God has given to each person the gift of free will to choose or reject Him. All one has to do is call on the name of the Lord to prepare.
“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Acts 2:21 (KJV)
