Final day - staff and volunteers plead for 'favorite' dog to be saved

Update 3/7/14: 5:00 p.m. (PST): I have just been told that someone who read about Reed today has adopted him!

It seems illogical for a staff and volunteer favorite to be facing imminent death...it seems illogical that a dog who is described as ridiculously adorable, exuberant and sweet, to be on the list to be destroyed today.

Unfortunately, two-year-old Reed is facing that fate - unless someone comes to his rescue.

A shelter volunteer wrote:

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE FINAL PLEA FOR REED -- HE NEEDS YOU TO SAVE HIM TODAY FROM THAT FINAL WALK!

Reed is a HUGE staff and volunteer favorite. There is a $500 donation offered, more to a qualified rescue who will notify us prior to pull.

Reed arrived to the South Los Angeles, Calif., animal control back on Dec. 3, 2013 - he was severely injured but today, he is the picture of health...and happiness. Reed does not know that he is about to die - Reed has no idea that his days of snuggling with volunteers and playing in the outside yard are about to cease forever.

Please take a moment to network on Reed's behalf...this is it for him...the time has run out.
