Tick, tock, tick, tock, the trailer for the much anticipated sequel for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has been released.
The trailer debuted on FOX during Game 4 of the World Series Sunday night, and it was worth the wait for fans of the Suzanne Collins dystopian trilogy.
From mutated animals, an eerie fog, and the ever rising tension of the districts, the trailer gives avid fans a glimpse of what to expect of the sequel and more.
Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.
Reprising their roles for the sequel and final installments of the trilogy are Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, Willow Shields, and Donald Sutherland, with new additions which include Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Lynn Cohen, and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is directed by Francis Lawrence and opens everywhere Nov. 22, 2013.
