TNA Wrestling brings the pay per view cameras back to Texas tonight, for their "LockDown" event at the Alamodome in downtown San Antonio. Feuds will be settled and bodies will be left battered and bruised inside the confines of a solid steel cage.
The TNA World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line, as Jeff Hardy defends against Bully Ray. After successfully defending his title throughout January and February, Hardy has been through a lot against not only his opponents, but dealing with attacks by Aces & 8's as well. Tonight, he steps into the cage against Bully Ray. Steel cages have historically been in Hardy's advantage, but Bully Ray is one of the toughest men on the TNA roster. He'll gladly use that cage to his advantage if it means finally becoming TNA World Champion. These two have battled each other for well over a decade all over the world, and this could be one of the most brutal cage matches in TNA history.
The Alamodome will see a major turf war go down, as Team TNA steps into the ring against the rival Aces & 8's group. Over the last several months, this group has attacked everybody in TNA, and done their best to hurt everybody in their path. Sting will team up with Samoa Joe, Eric Young, James Storm and Magnus to take on the Aces & 8's group comprised of Brother Devon, Doc, Mr. Anderson, Mike Knox, and Garrett Bischoff. This match will spell disaster for one side, and a possible new beginning for the team that escapes Lethal LockDown as the winner.
The TNA Knockouts Championship will be defended as well, as Velvet Sky defends against Gail Kim. After returning to the company several months back, Velvet has done everything in her power to return to the top of the Knockouts Division. She solidified that quest by becoming champion. She will face Gail Kim, who is also a former World Champion and that knows Velvet all too well. This will be very interesting to see if Gail can return to the top as champion, or if Velvet can keep her spot and her title.
In other action, Kenny King puts the TNA X-Division Championship on the line against Christian York and Xema Ion. Wes Brisco will step into the cage against the always tough Kurt Angle, Robbie E. faces off against former partner Rob Terry, and Joseph Park will face former Gut Check participant Joey Ryan.
All of this goes down at the Alamodome tonight in San Antonio. The pay per view will go on the air at 7 P.M. Central. For more information, check out the TNA website.
