FILTER Magazine celebrates 10 years with more music

Los Angeles, Calif., (Jan. 12, 2012) -FILTER Magazine-- the publication championing the motto Good Music Will Prevail-announces its 10th anniversary. The massive milestone, 10 years in print for the independently-owned, avant-garde music magazine, will be celebrated with an upcoming year full of entertaining exclusive content including free music, iPad and content downloads, festival events, the 3rd annual Culture Collide festival and more.

Over the past ten years (2002 - 2012) FILTER Magazine has stayed true to its roots. The publication was founded on the philosophy of printing quality content about quality music, helping fans to discover artists and their stories. From the first issue, On The Dark Side of The Moon with Weezer, which hit newsstands in July 2002, to the upcoming issue 47, on-sale Feb. 17, the magazine's unwavering dedication to guidepeople towards good music discovery has kept its readership growing and FILTER readers coming back for more.

"Where the music publishing industry has struggled with decreased readership, budget cuts, lack of advertisers, FILTER Magazine has continued to grow and proven the ability to thrive within this tumultuous economy," said Alan Miller, co-founder and co-publisher of FILTER Magazine. "FILTER enters 2012 as our most exciting year to date, with even more unique, quality content and partnerships."

What began ten years ago in Los Angeles, CA by former music executives Alan Miller and Alan Sartirana, has grown to include not just FILTER in print, but an online version of the magazine, FILTERmagazine.com, the Good Music Guide, FILTER Creative Group and Public Relations firm as well as FILTER events and festivals.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, FILTER Magazine will be releasing commemorative content on FILTERmagazine.com every week throughout 2012. The items revisit cover stories (David Bowie, Lou Reed & The Strokes, Tom Waits, Björk and more) and take a look at where the Getting to Know artists are now. FILTER Magazine will also be offering 10th anniversary content and giveaways for readers to enjoy, but that's not all.
