Film review – Restless – opens Sept 16

September 13, 2011 – Mia Wasikowska (Jane Eyre, Alice in Wonderland, The Kids Are All Right) is Annabel Cotton, a young and charming terminal cancer patient with a deep love of life, in Restless, released in Los Angeles and New York September 16.

Henry Hopper, the son of late actor Dennis Hopper, makes his debut as a professional actor as Enoch Brae, a young man living life without much interest after the death of his parents in a car accident.

In Restless, Annabel and Enoch recognize they live special life stories, become friends, a support to one another, and prove that love is deathless.  Restless is a tale that may at first appear simple, but that leaves the audience with a lingering impression and much food for thought.

Filmed in Portland, Oregon, and written by current Los Angeles resident Jason Lew, Restless is the work of respected director Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk) and produced by the outstanding Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Bryce Dallas Howard (Ron Howard’s daughter).

This is a beautiful film of gorgeous colors, a touching story, and yet an uplifting one.  It is rated PG-13, and is 95 minutes long.  Restless will screen September 16 at the Hollywood Arclight Theatre.
