On March 13, 2014, it was announced by the Fort Myers Film Festival (FMff), in Fort Myers, Fla., that the director and "leading man" of their opening night's film will be in attendance. The event will be held at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall on March 19.
"The director and star of our opening night film are coming to Fort Myers and will be in attendance for Q&A and a meet and greet at B.B. Mann.
Michael Rossato-Bennett, director of FMff's opening night film "Alive Inside: A Story of Music & Memory" and social worker Dan Cohen, featured in the film, will be in attendance at Barbara B. Mann March 19 for the screening.
Director Mr. Rossato-Bennett is the founder and executive producer of Projector Media. This is a documentary production company dedicated to inspiring conversations that investigate issues related to our cultural consciousness.
"Alive Inside: A Story of Music & Memory" is Mr. Rossato-Bennett's first feature length offering.
The film is an award-winning independent film about music therapy with Alzheimer's patients.
Last month the film earned the Sundance audience award for U.S. documentaries.
FMff will be held March 19-23 at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, Alliance for the Arts and Broadway Palm Theatre.
Following the film screenings there will be parties and dinners at Twisted Vine Bistro, a filmmakers lodge at Firestone, and breakfast panels at Bennett's Fresh Roast, plus other select venues.
