Filini Bar and Restaurant celebrates the Puppy Bowl (Video)

Filini Bar and Restaurant has made a big decision. They have chosen to celebrate Puppy Bowl IX viewing party as opposed to the Super Bowl this Sunday, February 3rd beginning at 2:00 p.m. The event will benefit PAWS Chicago. Although admission is FREE, 10% of the restaurant’s profits from the start of the Puppy Bowl until the restaurant’s closing will go to benefit the charity.

Filini Bar and Restaurant is located at 221 North Columbus Drive in Chicago, Illinois. The restaurant seats 150 people. It is a contemporary Italian restaurant and bar in the landmark Aqua Tower that features over 100 Italian wines. It is adjacent to the premier, upper-upscale Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel.

Attendees will be able to enjoy food while watching the Puppy Bowl on flat screen televisions. Chef Will Johnson is an avid dog lover. His typical Italian fare is unpretentious yet exquisitely prepared. He imports and utilizes local ingredients. He created the Puppy Bowl themed menu just for this annual event:

Viewers of Animal Planet’s annual canine competition in 2012 totaled 8.7 million. The competition included the nation’s toughest puppies; carrying a chew toy into an end zone and across the goal line.

Make sure to bring your dog to the viewing as well as the event is pet-friendly! In addition, if you provide a photo of your dog and include their name along with your name and email, you will have an opportunity to win one of several $50 Filini gift certificates that you can use on a future visit.

This event should really be fun! Hope you will be able to attend as an alternative to the Super Bowl 2013.
