DURHAM, N.C. Kayla McBride had 23 points and 11 rebounds in her first double-double of the season, leading four players in double figures as No. 2 Notre Dame walloped No. 3 Duke 88-67 on Sunday at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Jewell Loyd added 17 points while Natalie Achonwa added 15 points and nine rebounds and Lindsay Allen 11 points for the Irish (21-0, 8-0 ACC), who were making their first visit to North Carolina as members of the ACC.
Tricia Liston led Duke with 23 points, followed by Alexis Jones with 16 points and 10 steals and Richa Jackson with 16 points.
Notre Dame, which leads the series 7-1, shot 61.8 percent from the floor to Duke’s 39.1 and won the rebound battle 41-30. The Irish did commit 22 turnovers to Duke’s 16.
Duke’s next game is on Thursday night at Clemson, while Notre Dame travels to Florida State the same night.
The rematch is Feb. 23 in South Bend.
