In their last four division matchups the New York Islanders have only come out on top in one of them. This has been an ongoing issue for the Isles as they continue to struggle within the Metropolitan Division.

Going into tonight’s game, the Islanders have to build some sort of momentum as the Olympic break is almost upon us. After the break, the Islanders will only have 22 games left in the regular season to fight for a chance at the playoffs.

Evgeni Nabokov will start in goal and it has been determined that Eric Boulton will be in the lineup tonight as well, according to Jack Capuano.

The Washington Capitals host the Islanders with an identical 3-6-1 in their last 10 games. The Isles have been struggling to find solid traction and the Capitals have been in a bit of downturn after having only won four games in the month of January.

With that being said, both teams are fighting for two points tonight and a much needed win in the Metropolitan Division. Puck will drop at 7:30 p.m. EST.
