Everyone can help play a role in making the world a better place and it feels so good when you can. Yesterday I was privileged to be part of the Illinois Currency Exchange Charitable Foundation Back to School kids event. Over 100,000 kids in Illinois are in need of school supplies and the ICECF helps distribute over 25,000 kits to children and families in need.

Not only is this an opportunity to touch children with the much needed school supplies, it’s an opportunity to help them understand the importance of breakfast, science, and exercise. I was able to put more than 500 kids through 20 minute workouts. I had the chance to laugh, jump and lead them which was so rewarding for me. It’s not something you get to do everyday - seeing them laugh and play was a wonderful treat. This is my second year helping with this amazing event and I can’t wait to do it again next year.

The Illinois Currency Exchange Charitable Foundation is dedicated to creating and supporting educational opportunities that enrich the lives of Illinois Children.
