"I am now training with Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, California and I could not be happier," VanZant said. "They are an amazing gym with amazing coaches. Before I began training with them I was just gym hopping around trying to find what fit me best. And when I had my first day at Ultimate Fitness I fell in love. I love that they have a team aspect and it’s an honor that I get to be a part of that. I know that they are going to take me to new heights in my fight career because they are the best gym out there and they care about each and every one of their fighters. I had been training with them just a few weeks then I decided to move down to Sacramento and make it my main gym. know that I am going to make their gym proud."
Team Alpha Male, a Sacramento-based MMA gym, is home to UFC fighters Urijah Faber, Chad Mendes and Joseph Benavidez.
Invicta FC featherweight Veronica Rothenhausler also trains there.
"I have never had training at this level before I know was this amazing and I know that it is going to take me to the peak of my fighting career," VanZant said.
VanZant is hoping for another crack at Invicta FC glory, namely a spot on the Invicta FC 7 card slated for December in Kansas City, Missouri.
"Right now, I am focused on training and preparing to be at the top of my game if the opportunity to be on Invicta FC7 comes in the future," she said. "The highlight for my career so far is that I get to fight for Invicta Fighting Championship. They are an amazing promotion and I am honored that I get to be apart of their team. They are the best of the best and are really putting WMMA on the map."
