The 4th Annual Fight For Air Climb will be on Saturday, Feb 2nd at the Bank of America Tower. There is a $30 regisrtation fee for the event and every climber will recieve a t-shirt and medal. The Fight for Air Climb will raise awareness for millions of Americans that suffer from asthma.
The Fight For Air Climbs are unique fundraising events for the American Lung Association. The event usually take place at skyscrapers, stadiums or arenas and it involves multiple steps. Participants will be able to get exercise and compete with others for prizes while climbing up many steps.
There is still a lot of research that need to be made about lung disease. The Fight For Air Climb raise funds to provide life saving research education, research and advocacy to beat lung disease and soon find a cure.
Lung cancer is the leading killer in both men and women responsible for more deaths than breast, ovarian, cerival and prostate cancers combined. Each year, about 160,000 people die from lung cancer in the United States.
People can fight for air by not smoking, prevent air pollution and know the symptoms of asthma. One of the reasons people climb at the event because no one deserves to die of lung cancer.
