Another weekend in Chicago comes with more snow and cold. If your family is tired of sitting on the couch, it is time to grab a jacket and head to a Chicago cultural landmark. The first weekend of the month brings Museums on Us. This program offers free general museum admission to Bank of America and Merril Lynch cardholders on the first whole weekend of the month.

Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2 is the Museums on Us. In the Chicago area, six museums will participate in this promotion. Institutions include

  • Adler Planetarium
  • The Art Institute of Chicago
  • Chicago History Museum
  • Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago
  • Shedd Aquarium
  • Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center

Bank of America's Museum on Us allows its customers to have free access to artistic and cultural experiences throughout the United States. Guests can take advantage of this program in their hometown or in locales farther away. Participating institutions include art, children’s and history museums to aquariums and science centers. For a complete list of participating institutions, please visit http://museums.bankofamerica.com.

A few rules apply to this special offer. Simply present your Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card along with a photo ID to gain free general admission to any participating institution, the first full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) of each month. Cardholders only; guests are not eligible for free admission. Program excludes fundraising events, special exhibitions and ticketed shows. It is not to be combined with other offers.
