Max Irons has not become a household name just yet but that will soon change. "The Host" hottie will surely make his mark when the film is released on March 29. He is also loved in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" community, where many believe he would make the perfect Christian Grey. On March 15, while signing posters for fans at Barnes & Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles, the actor himself admitted he had not read the book but seemed interested in the support nonetheless. When asked about becoming a sex symbol Irons also told E! on the same day, "I don't know if it's entirely healthy to be too preoccupied with the consequences." Sounds like the star could handle the fame that will come with a high profile role like Christian Grey.
Irons wore a leather jacket and sported Christian Grey-esque messy locks during the Los Angeles book signing. When asked if he would be interested in the sought after role Irons admitted to me he had yet to read the series. He sounded off with a pleased and surprised, "oh really" when told he had plenty of girls wanting him to play Christian Grey yet would not divulge if he wanted the role. The 27 year-old UK born actor is currently the perfect age to portray the young billionaire in the film adaptation of E L James' successful novel. Irons is currently filming the TV series, "The White Queen" where he will portray King Edward IV. He is also set to play the lead role in "Vivaldi" which is in pre-production.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" has yet to make any casting announcements with author E L James reminding fans via Twitter on March 15 "there have been no casting decisions made about Fifty Shades." Fans remain divided on who should don the playroom jeans of Christian Grey, with Ian Somerhalder, Jessie Pavelka and Matt Bomer being touted as favorites by the "greysessed."
