'Fifty Shades of Grey' removed from bookstore shelves (Video)

A new "Fifty Shades of Grey" book controversy has been stirred up. MSN reported on Wednesday, Jan 23 that a Brazilian judge has ordered that the racy erotic book trilogy be taken off of bookstore shelves.

The popular adult books "Fifty Shades of Grey" have been making big news headlines for the past year, banned from libraries, and some stores. The hit novels by E.L. James became virtually an overnight success, and will forever remain a part of this decades most popular culture.

Nicknamed "mommy porn" the controversial best sellers were removed from store shelves by a Brazilian judge that believes the books need to be kept off the store shelves out of the view, and reach of minors.

A statement released by the Rio de Janeiro State Judiciary Department, earlier this month reveals that the order was handed down by Judge Raphael Queiroz Campos after he saw under-aged kids leafing through steamy pages of the books in one of city's bookstores.

Eleven copies of the " Fifty Shades of Grey" series were among the 64 total books pulled from the shelves of two bookstores because their content was deemed improper for those under the age of 18.

Following complaints, the books found their way back on shelves soon after the "Fifty Shades of Grey" series were pulled. The steamy novels they were returned, but were sealed, and placed way out of the reach of the curiously wandering eyes of minors.

E.L. James' works were the one of the most-sold books across the globe last year leaving millions of women completely mesmerized by the books romance between the sexy, and charming Christian Grey, and his young, and innocent lover, Anastasia Steele.

In 2013 "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans are anxiously awaiting the casting of the upcoming film roles, which is expected to be a huge success, and also expected to churn up more controversy. Stay tuned for upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" news.
