The Sunday Times reports that producers are planning to make two version of the movie due to the highly sexual nature of the books. Reports indicate that producers are hoping to avoid alienating fans of the book who enjoyed the erotic S&M scenes, but are also hoping to have a version that will be rated R so that it can be shown in mainstream cinemas.
Filming for “Fifty Shades of Grey” was delayed after Charlie Hunnam dropped out of his role as the leading man Christian Grey. However, the role was quickly filled by Britsh actor, Jamie Dornan, and on Dec. 1 authour, E L James sent a single tweet that sent fans into a frenzy. The tweet simply read: “Action,” and was followed by a link to a photo of a film marker for “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
The film adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey” is now set to hit theaters on February 13, 2014.
