Although casting for Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie has often been a more independent affair, Fans Share reported this Friday, Feb. 8, that a sudden surge in finding both the ideal Christian and Ana together in the upcoming film has recently taken shape. Although Chace Crawford was the latest actor to volunteer his name to play the steamy CEO, Digital Spy noted yesterday, a variety of potential Red Room of Pain couples have taken the forefront in casting the love story. Some of these talented actors include Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill, and Ian Somerhalder, while the lovely actresses often paired include Alexis Bledel, Emilia Clarke, and Nina Dobrev.
One of the most popular Christian and Ana couples in the fandom — in addition to many readers of EL James’ erotic novel supporting at least one of the two — include “White Collar’s” Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel of “Gilmore Girls.” The two have been featured in several “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie fan trailers already, and they would certainly have an immense fan base if chosen by the inner goddess author.
Another quickly rising casting couple for “Fifty Shades of Grey” is Henry Cavill of “Man of Steel” and “A Game of Thrones’” Emilia Clarke. A new fan trailer poster of the couple has quite a few fans excited, and the two stars certainly look the part of Christian and Ana as their affair begins to unfold.
Ian Somerhalder is often paired with a variety of actresses for the part of Christian Grey in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie, though some fans have reasonably suggested his real-life girlfriend Nina Dobrev to play Ana Steele. EL James has hinted that this particular couple is unlikely — as it might be too similar to “The Vampire Diaries” — but it still remains a possibility in the eyes of certain readers.
Which particular casting couple do you see as your Christian and Ana together on the silver screen?
