'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie: Chace Crawford now after Christian Grey casting (Photos)

The latest casting news surrounding a Christian Grey hopeful in the upcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie is Chace Crawford, who recently opened up this week in an interview about looking for work and wanting “challenging” roles on-screen. Fox News reported this Wednesday, Feb. 6, that the “Gossip Girl” actor is definitely up for the part of the steamy CEO, and feels he might make a good candidate because sex scenes on film have never been an issue for him.

Chace Crawford is the latest actor who has shown an interest in playing Christian Grey to both fans and the film team, if only because he feels in need of finding new work after the end of “Gossip Girl.”

“I would love the challenge. I have not read the books, but what I know is that it is risqué, and to be honest, anything to shake up from the way I have been going would be good … Hey, if they ask me to come and read, I would definitely do it. I don’t even know what [Christian Grey] is like, though. I haven’t read anything or heard anything about it!”

Yet for not being familiar with the series, Chace's responses still reveal his skill and experience as an actor. Upon being told about the sexual nature of Christian and Ana’s love story, the "Gossip Girl" star didn’t seem daunted at the complexity that playing the businessman would require in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie.

“I am only comfortable with S&M sex scenes! The other ones are just too simple and boring for me,” laughed Chace. “I actually think, whether it is a sex scene, or screaming at something to get something across. I think it is kind of attacked the same way, and you’re in the work mode, and you stay professional. It has never been awkward or intimidating for me.”

The top reasons Ian Somerhalder may be cast as Christian Grey was released yesterday in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” series, while Matt Bomer’s list is set to premiere soon and Henry Cavill's this weekend. All three talented actors made leading spots in the latest Top Ten Christian Grey list.
