While the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie casting talk abounds among the “Fifty Shades” fandom, one Anastasia Steele contender is making headlines this week, reported Us Weekly this Friday, March 7. Alexis Bledel recently signed on to a new FOX sitcom known as “Friends and Family,” which is anticipated to be a potential hit if picked up by the network. While the talented actress will no doubt do well in her role, it might also interfere with her busy schedule as a fan favorite Ana Steele when the time of casting comes around later this year.
While many gifted stars have been mentioned for roles of both Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in recent months for the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie, one of the top fan favorites has long been Alexis Bledel. From her Ana-esque looks to her innocence and experience on camera, it’s no surprise why many fans — she is often particularly paired with Christian Grey contenders Matt Bomer and Ian Somerhalder — see these ten reasons why Alexis could play a great Ana on-screen.
The IB Times recently noted that among other popular favorites Emilia Clarke and Amanda Seyfried, Alexis Bledel also won “most innocent sweetheart eyes” in a poll. However, if the new show “Friends and Family” is picked up by FOX, the site also adds that it could very well conflict with potential casting by summertime and beyond, as Bledel (who is set to play a lead role) may not have the time to make the film.
Of course, even if the sitcom does make it big, there is always the chance that Alexis Bledel wouldn’t pass on the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie either way — the actress has “smiled" before for the film in the past, after all.
The “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie isn’t set for release until summer 2014 (according to the Universal Studios head), but can you still see Alexis Bledel as your Ana among the top ten likely Anastasia Steele’s?
