The “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie casting rumors say goodbye to one Anastasia Steele actress and a new Christian Grey contender this week, as Marie Claire reported this Monday, March 4, that Mila Kunis has “officially” ended the online rumors that she may play Ana Steele in “Fifty Shades of Grey.” While the actress said fans will not see her in EL James’ sexy upcoming film, Erik Odom of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2” has recently received some attention from fans after spending quality time with the inner goddess author, as well as re-tweeting himself as the “new Christian Grey” on Twitter, adds Gather.
Amid much speculation as to whether she was interested in starring as Anastasia Steele in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie, Mila Kunis of “Oz” has at last spoken out on the casting rumors for good on the iconic role.
“This ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ thing is not gonna leave [me], is it?” she said in a press conference interview for her own new movie, “Oz.” “No, you will not see me in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’ I’m sorry.”
Erik Odom of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2”, however, is definitely fueling the Christian Grey casting rumors himself. He recently exchanged some messages on Twitter with none other than “Breaking Dawn” movie director Bill Condon and EL James, hinting that he even spent an evening talking with the inner goddess writer about the film. This has led some to believe James may see the rising star as a potential Christian Grey. Of course, this remains unlikely speculation only at this point, as James has said nothing and hinted nothing herself (though she did recently admit her Christian Grey “would not be who people expect”).
Erik Odom will certainly have some competition with other “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie fan favorites Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder, and Alexander Skarsgard, but the “Breaking Dawn” actor is certainly confident, as he jokingly took to Twitter to have his followers read:
"How awesome are you girls? RT @Thats_Normal Erik Odom: The new Christian Grey …”
With these latest developments, do you believe EL James really has her eye on some Christian Grey hopefuls she already intends to play the steamy part, or should one of the many fans’ favorites like Matt or Ian still be considered top choices for the role?
