The adaptation of E.L. James best-selling novel has been the question of much controversy as it began being turned into a film.

A lot of critics believed that it would have to be toned down far too much to get even an R-rating, and that would take away from the actual story. The other frame of mind is that "Fifty Shades of Grey" would receive an NC-17 rating if it stayed true to the book, and that would be a money killer.

Believe it or not, the first "Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer is actually safe for work as well. It's a green-band trailer that has been approved for viewing by all audiences so you can watch it wherever you feel like watching it.

Now, the last ten seconds of the trailer are a little on the very racy side, but it still was able to earn the general audiences approval green-band trailer.

The film follows the relationship of 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey (Dornan) and college student Anastasia Steele (Johnson) as she details his life, and he introduces her into his steamy and racy way of living.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is set for an appropriate release date of Feb. 14, 2015. It Stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan along with Rita Ora, Max Martini, Jennifer Ehle, Eloise Mumford, and Marcia Gay Harden.

The film was actually set to open this upcoming week, but it would have had to compete with Disney/Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy." For a number of reasons, Universal ended up moving the release date for "Fifty Shades of Grey" back a number of months.

Either way, the first trailer is out and it gives the fans something.
