Emma Watson has revealed that she has not been cast to star in highly anticipated "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie. Ace Showbiz reported that on Monday, March 18 that Watson took to Twitter on Saturday, March 16 denying the rumors that she was signed on to play Anastasia Steele in the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" film.
Watson, 22, tweeted that she is not interested in doing the film in spite of reports she was cast in the lead role.
"Who here actually thinks I would do "50 Shades of Grey" as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life," Emma tweeted. She later sent out a tweet featuring just a question mark. "Good. Well that's that sorted then," she added.
"I haven't read the book, I haven't a read a script, nothing," she said at that time. "There are so many movies you become attached to when I've literally never even received a phone call. I never even saw a script!"
Rumors swirling around the concerning the movie version of E.L. James red hot erotic novels have "50 Shades" fans burning with desire to see who will end up starring in the new pop culture trend, that has been dubbed as "mommy porn."
At the present time, "Fifty Shades of Grey" hasn't decided on who its lead stars and directors will be. Actors such as Ian Somerhalder, Ryan Gosling, and Alexander Skarsgard have been suggested and shown some interest in playing Christian Grey, but nothing has been confirmed.
The film like the erotic novels will follow Anastasia Steele, the virginal college grade ripe at the center of the story, and Christian Grey, the wealthy, handsome masochistic businessman with emotional issues, who takes a liking to her and introduces her to the world of bondage and kinky sex.
Universal and Focus Features plan to release the film during the summer of 2014.
