Fans of "Fifty Shades of Grey" can't wait to hear about the movie and when it will be out. On Jan. 31, Deadline reported that there is a chance that the porn version of this movie might not happen. That version is called "Fifty Shades of Grey: A XXX Adaptation" and E.L. James has nothing to do with it.
Universal City Studios and book rights holder Fifty Shades Ltd filed a request against the filmmakers and are trying to get filming shut down. They think that the porn film could cause problems for the actual "Fifty Shades of Grey" flick when it comes out. They are calling it an adaptation, but that is not enough to make producers happy.
The porn flick uses exact characters, events, and stories. They are not happy that it is this close to the original without permission.
The actual "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie is still working on casting, but many fans want to see Ian Somerhalder play Christian Grey. Do you agree?
