The thirty-third annual Fifth Third River Bank Run is 17 days away. The race is the largest 25k road race in the country with more than 18,000 participants.
Following the Grand River from downtown Grand Rapids to Chicago Avenue where the course crosses the river runners continue upstream back to the city.

Late registration for the event will continue through May 7 at the Sports and Fitness Expo in DeVos Place. Also at the expo will be packet pick-up, a pasta dinner for racers and a panel discussion about the race.
Kids wishing to participate can do so at the junior events on Wednesday, May 5 at Rogers High School, 1350 Prairie Parkway, Wyoming. Kids ages 5-13 can participate in a ½-mile and 1-mile fun run at 5:30pm or the 5k run at 6:45pm.
