The Westwood Town Hall grounds will be transformed into an outdoor art gallery on Saturday, September 14, as the Westwood Civic Association presents the fifth annual Westwood Art Show at the community’s commons. More than 70 artists, artisans, and craftsmen will display their wares, including potters Jaime Illiff, Mickey and Judy Frimming, and Maya Moon Maiden Pottery; glass artists Amy Fletcher of Hunky Dory Studio, Carolyn Althoff of Comingle Fused Glass, and Crystal Summers of Rising Phoenix Glass; and textile artists Mary Sullivan, Mary Beth Rudemiller, and Laura Pearson.

The line-up also includes fine artists Jan Boone, Colleen and Clint Wood III, Barbara Kock, Sarah Hellman, and Mary Faith Colon, as well as jewelry makers, photographers, wood carvers, greeting cards, and prints. The variety of arts is unmatched in any local art shows, and the art is exhibited and available for sale from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In addition to the visual arts, there will be live acoustic music throughout the day from He, Him & Her,
Fast Sky, and The Contrails, as well as performance art from MadCap Puppets, who will soon open new offices and a theatre near the Westwood Town Hall on Harrison Avenue. Crafts for kids will be provided by Broadhope Art Collective, the Cincinnati Recreation Commission, local Girl Scout troops, and the community organization Westwood Works.

There will be food for sale as well, to sustain the body while the mind and eyes enjoy the art. Graeter’s Ice Cream, Queen City Pizza, Diane’s Cakes, Candy & Cookies, Higher Ground Coffee House, and Café de Wheels will all be on hand selling treats, beverages, and more substantial fare, and Henke Winery will be there to provide wine tastings.

The festival is located on the grounds of the Westwood Town Hall at 3017 Harrison Ave in Westwood, and will be held rain or shine. It’s free and open to the public, and all ages are invited and encouraged to attend this community celebration.
