The Fifth Annual Taste of Soquel Benefit for Second Harvest Food Bank - Food and Music for the Common Good - will be held on Saturday, September 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 4951 Soquel Drive, Soquel.
The Congregational Church of Soquel and the Capitola/Soquel Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsoring this event, which raises funds to provide meals each year for thousands of children in Santa Cruz County.
A $25.00 donation at the venue provides adult attendees with a wristband for an entire day of food and music at all food and wine booths.
Four Soquel area wineries featured
Enjoy wine tasting from Soquel Vineyards, Bargetto Winery, Hunter Hill Vineyard & Winery and Poetic Cellars. Of past festivals, Peter Bargetto said, “It’s a great venue for people to get together and make new friends.”
Taste of Soquel welcomes Discretion Brewing, new this year.
Taste delicious food samples especially prepared from Café Cruz, Aldo's, Carpo's, D'Anna's Deli, Main Street Garden Café, Sawasdee, The Fish Lady and Aldo's Bakery. Melinda's Gluten Free, who shares Aldo's facility will also bring their delicious bakery samples.
Also featured are local farm fresh tastings from Fogline Farm, Cherryvale Farms and Jeff Walls' Family Honey. (Locally made honey is the way to go)!
Entertainment for all ages by local bands
KPIG DJ Ralph Anybody emcees live music by renowned local musicians, Farmer’s Market String Band, The McCoy Tyler Band, Bryn Loosley & the Back Pages and new this year, Flor de Cana.
KidZone – Free children’s area provides lucky kids with miniature golf, games, crafts, music, dancing and snacks.
Donation: $20 for adults Includes music & tasting at all food & wine booths..
$10 for youth ages 12-20 (music & food only)
A hospitality table will offer complimentary coffee, tea, lemonade, ice water and food offerings from the Bagelry, Donut Station and others.
