It’s that time of year again for the Western New York community to come together and raise money for cancer research through dance! The fifth-annual Dancers Give Back will take place on October 27 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Orchard Park Middle School.

Since its dawn, Dancers Give Back has raised close to $90,000 for research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, as well as for cancer patients and their families. The event started in memory of Jacquie Hirsch, a local dancer who lost her battle with cancer.

This year, dancers are invited to take master classes with special guests Ida Saki (contemporary) and Nicholas Young (tap). The master classes are $15 per class, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Michaela’s Fund, in honor of Saki’s friend who lost her fight to Leukemia.

Dancers Give Back will also include a chance to win the newest ipad, a performance by the Buffalo Jills, performances by local dance studios, raffles, auctions, games, crafts, face-painting, a cakewalk, and more!

There is a $10 donation at the door to get into Dancers Give Back. If you would like to purchase a ticket in advance, make a donation, or find out more about Dancers Give Back, call Mary Alice’s Dance Studio at (716) 662-1080 or visit the Dancers Give Back website http://www.dancersgiveback.com/.
