Pickens County Sportsman's Club (PCSC) in Talking Rock, Georgia, held an IDPA match on January 20, 2013. The match began at noon and finished about 2:00 p.m. The weather for the match was reasonably warm and sunny.

There were 15 shooters total for the match. Several new shooters came out for their first time. Four Divisions were represented; Stock Service Pistol, Enhanced Service Pistol, Custom Defensive Pistol and one intrepid shooter in Stock Service Revolver. Two lady shooters competed. Expertise among the competitors ranged from Novice Class to Master.

The Division winners were:
Bryan Murphy SSP 55.10
Mike Benedict ESP 83.30
Howard Horne CDP 81.04
Claude Werner SSR 84.17
Robin Scopa High Lady 82.95

There were four stages; three scenarios and one standard stage. A minimum of 51 rounds were required although most competitors fired more. One stage required some difficult shooting past non-threat targets. All the scenario stages required the shooter to move from position to position and shoot from behind cover. The standard stage required the competitors to shoot with both hands and then with the strong hand only.

The competitors gathered for lunch afterward at Bigun’s Barbeque on Highway 515. Most departed by 3 p.m.

Pickens County Sportsman's Club holds matches the third Sunday of each month. Signup begins at 11:30 a.m. and shooting starts at noon. The public is invited to watch or participate.
