Looking for something fun to do with the family this weekend? How about a visit to Field Station: Dinosaurs, a Jurassic adventure located just minutes away in Secaucus, NJ. Field Station: Dinosaurs, a 20-acre outdoor learning expedition reopens Memorial Day weekend.

Field Station: Dinosaurs allows kids to get closer than ever to 32 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs (including the ninety foot Argentinosaurus that can be seen from the Empire State Building!) Visiting families can enjoy interactive shows starring a 15-foot juvenile T-Rex, game shows testing their dinosaur knowledge, a dig site, Dinosaurs Alive! 3D movie, hands-on workshops and many other fun and educational activities.

In addition, Field Station: Dinosaurs will also host various nighttime events throughout the season including Dozin’ with Dinos and Dinosaurs After Dark. Dozin’ with Dinos takes place August 2 and explorers are invited to an overnight campout adventure among the dinosaurs. At Dinosaurs After Dark (Friday & Saturday nights from September 27 through October 25) guests experience a nighttime adventure complete with ghost stories, singing around the campfire, s’mores and an up-close visit with T-Rex. Rounding out the season are a number of special events including the highly popular Scout Days (June 14 and September 27) where all park guests including scout groups can participate in extra programming throughout the park about camping, bugs, birds, dinosaurs and more.

Field Station: Dinosaurs opens to the general public on May 24. Days and hours of operation for the general public are: Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from May 24 through June 29 and September 6 through November 2; Tuesdays through Sundays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from July 1 through September 1. The park is open on the following holidays: Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Rosh Hashanah (September 25, 2014) and Columbus Day.
