Fidel Castro has sent Kim Jong-un a letter. The letter warns the North Korean letter not to start a war. According to an April 5 report by Reuters, the now anti-nuclear advocate, Fidel Castro calls the current situation with North Korea as one of the “gravest risks” for nuclear holocaust.
In an almost fatherly letter, Fidel Castro tried to persuade Kim Jong-un not to start a nuclear war. He let the North Korean leader know that it is now time to “remember its duties to others.”
Fidel Castro compared the “Korean situation” today to the Cuban Missle Crisis which occurred about 50 years ago. If not for diplomatic measures being taken, it was quite possible there could have been a nuclear war then.
Although Fidel Castro called the relationship between Cuba and North Korea as “always friendly,” his letter lets Kim Jong-un know that he is opposed to nuclear war. It appears he wants to avoid a nuclear war.
At the time of publication, it was unknown if Kim Jung-un would heed the advice of Fidel Castro. Based Kim Jung-un's current and past behavior, there is no way of knowing what the North Korean leader will do to start or stop a nuclear war.
