"Fiddler on the Roof" plays at the Golden Gate Theater with Harvey Fierstein as Tevye the milkman patriarch with his five daughters, just as the hit Broadway series Nunsense! continues with their new musical comedy sending up Fiddler, called Meshuggah-Nuns! Kultur.com sends this announcement today:
The hit Broadway series Nunsense! continues with their new musical comedy, Meshuggah-Nuns! This hilarious new show finds the sisters on an all-expense paid trip on the "Faiths of All Nations" Cruise. When the cast of "Fiddler on the Roof" (with the exception of the guy playing Tevye) gets seasick, the ship's captain asks the sisters and Tevye to put on a show. The result: Meshuggah-Nuns! Hilarity reigns supreme on the high seas with songs like “Say It In Yiddish,” If I Were a Catholic” and lots more. From Sister Amnesia's attempt at magic to the sing-along Fiddlerspiel, Meshuggah-Nuns! is an ecumenical fun-fest. You don't have to be Catholic. You don't have to be Jewish. This is a show for anyone who loves a good laugh!

In Homage to Chagall, which The New York Times proclaimed "an affectionate and visually beautiful celebration of both the man and his art," acclaimed Canadian documentary filmmaker Harry Rasky (Song of Leonard Cohen) coaxes artist Marc Chagall's formidable life and transcendent work onto film. This Academy Award®-nominated documentary is a symphonic blending of narration by James Mason (Pandora and the Flying Dutchman), first-person recitations from Chagall's letters and poems read by Joseph Wiseman (Dr. No, Detective Story), and rare interviews with the charismatic Chagall himself as he neared his 90th birthday.
