Few morning flurries, but high pressure to return with some sunshine (Photos)

High pressure will gradually build into the region today with any lingering snow showers or flurries tapering off. The potential for significant snow on Friday will occur as a complex storm system approaches the region from the south and attempts to phase with an upper level trough approaching from the Great Lakes. Strong low pressure will then develop and track up the northeast coast while rapidly strengthening into Friday night, with the exact track dependent on where the heaviest snow falls.

Today – Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers this morning, then gradually becoming partly sunny and breezy. High 28-32. Winds west between 10 and 15 mph, gusting up to 30 mph. Chance of snow 30 percent.

A clipper system will gradually pull away from the region this morning with any morning flurries tapering off and some sunshine eventually returning by this afternoon.
