FINAL UPDATE: Mon 30 Dec 2013 / 10:20 p.m.

Your New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day should offer fine weather with dry roads over all of north Texas.

It will continue to be cold at night and you will want to go with the winter fashions if you’re headed out New Year’s Eve: temperatures will be near 40 by 10 p.m. and bottom out in the low to mid 30s overnight.

New Year’s Day will be mild with highs in the low 60s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. A cold front passes Wednesday evening, but it should come through dry.

The rest of the week looks dry but a little colder behind the front.

Happy New Year! Here’s hoping that yours is a fun and safe one.
