This coming week, April 21-27 in Orlando local music is jam packed full of live music events. Who would have thought it was possible to cram this much live music into a one week span in Orlando. Good luck choosing between events, but please do make a few choices and support local music.

On Tuesday is Orlando band Dane Myers’ CD release show for “This Changes Everything.” The FREE show is at Natura at 8 p.m.

Wednesday, the pre-Florida Music Festival (FMF) shows start in downtown Orlando. At Firestone Live is the Florida Grammy Showcase and at Tanqueray’s, the Jambando Stage series kicks off, both leading into the official start of FMF.

Thursday, the fourteenth annual Florida Music Festival officially kicks off. The music festival runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday and features over 150 bands on ten stages throughout downtown Orlando with headliners Aer, Less Than Jake and Ed Kowalczyk. The music starts each night at 6 p.m.

On Friday Orlando band Among Giants releases their 7” “Back and Forth” with a show at The Peacock Room. Also on the schedule are Flashlights, Wet Nurse, Henrietta and Nüd Dood for this show.

Also on Friday, Orlando band Control This! is releasing their single “Long Road” with a show at Wills Pub. Also playing that night are The Apes, Caffiends and Brown Bag Brass Band (members from Paddington Ambush and The Legendary JC’s).

On Saturday at The Plaza Live is the ninth annual Spring Jambando. Music fans can enjoy sets from Shak Nasti, funkUs, RocketFish, Paddington Ambush, Eugene Snowden, The Dropa Stone, Ancient Sun, Buster Keaton, The Groove Orient, Drew Yardis, Holey Miss Moley, The Violent 5, Lauren Lester, Justin Kangrga, Meiuuswe and more for one low price.

There are two bands celebrating Saturday at West End Live. JANANI is celebrating the release of her EP “Three Step System” and Always Falling Up will be playing their first official gig at the same show.

Also on Saturday is the debut show for Orlando band Break of Mourning at Bombshell’s Tavern. Playing the show with them are Stone Clover, Soul Rift, Thicket and Brink.

Monday, April 21

Stageit - On line everywhere - Live performance by Flagship Romance in a benefit for Rock By The Sea Charities. Their show is scheduled from 8-8:30 p.m. and there are a limited number of tickets still available.

The Social - 54 North Orange Ave. - Live music from Cloud Nothings, Ryley Walker and Out Go The Lights for this 12+ show. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 day of show. The doors open at 8 p.m.

Will’s Pub - 1042 N. Mills Ave. - Live music from Destroyer of Light, The Glorious Rebellion, Widower and Lions of TSAVO for this 18+ show. Tickets are $6 and the doors open at 9 p.m.

The Haven - 6700 Aloma Ave. - Firestone ENT & Society ENT presents Hip Hop Mondays with Silas Dior, hosted and music by Drop, Wizzle Nation, Blaza, Trench Coat Deviants, Big Cash, Raw Reeze and secret guest for this show. The doors open at 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $10.

BB Kings Blues Club - 9101 International Dr. - Live music from Blue Stone Circle from 7:30-11:30 p.m.

West End Trading Company - 202 S. Sanford Ave. (Sanford) - RPR presents open mic hosted by Joshua Snyder with Rhenn Again at 8 p.m. This FREE event is 18+.

Tuesday, April 22

Natura Coffee and Tea - 12078 Collegiate Way - Live music from Dane Myers for his CD release show. This FREE show starts at 8 p.m.

The Red Lion Pub - 3784 Howell Branch Road - Twisted Tuesday with Holey Miss Moley for this 18+ show. This FREE event includes live music and other entertainment as well as a home-cooked meal, with a $2 donation to the Red Lion Community Emergency Fund. The live music starts at 7:30 p.m.

The Peacock Room - 1321 North Mills Ave. - Live music from AJ Davila y Terror Amor, Plastic Pinks and The Golden Pelicans for this 21+ show. The doors open at 8 p.m.

At 7 p.m. is the pre-show reception and DJ performance from M-Squared and at 8 p.m. the showcase kicks off with Supa dave of WJRR hosting. This event is 18+ and admission is FREE.

Will’s Pub - 1042 N. Mills Ave. - Live music from Daryl Hance, The Goldminers and Hannah Wynn for this 18+ show. Tickets are $6 in advance or $8 at the door. The doors open at 9 p.m.
