Ferris State's chances for WCHA title takes major blow in Alaska

So Ferris's hockey team got swept this weekend in Alaska. For that reason the Bulldogs might have blown their chances to win the WCHA title.
Don't push the panic button just yet Ferris fans.
Yes, it may hurt the Bulldogs in their quest to be WCHA regular-season champs. But Alaska definitely has one of the best teams in the league so it's not surprising the Bulldogs struggled up there.
The next two weekends, the Bulldogs will play at comfortable Ewigleben Ice Arena and then they can take the long journey to Grand Rapids to play in the WCHA Final Five, provided they win their first-round playoff series.
Ferris plays very well at home so it can be assumed the Bulldogs will play in Grand Rapids. Regardless of what happens in GR, Ferris will probably make the NCAA playoffs.
But it would have been nice for Ferris to have won one game in Alaska in their quest to be league champions. They need some help now for that to happen.
But it can still be a fun season even if there won't be a regular season title to enjoy.
