Ferris State hockey team gains huge win over Minnesota-Duluth

Ferris State's hockey team had a nice 6-2 consolation round victory Saturday in the Florida College Holiday Classic over Minnesota-Duluth.
It was Ferris State's first ever win over Duluth, which won the national title two seasons ago.
Bulldog goaltender Charles Williams had an impressive performance with 23 saves.
It was his first collegiate start for Ferris State.
But now the Bulldogs need to get back in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association schedule starting with a home game Jan. 5 against Michigan State.
The Spartans beat Ferris 3-1 at East Lansing on Dec. 22 so the Bulldogs owe them one.
Ferris needs to climb the CCHA standings high enough so that when the 16-team field is named in March for the NCAAs, the Bulldogs are included.
