This weekend, the Mid-Atlantic Ferrari Club and Williamsburg Winery put on its 3rd Annual Ferraris on the Vine event in Williamsburg, Va. On the afternoon of Sunday, May 1, the crowd of nearly 400 guests feasted their eyes on more than 20 Ferraris, plus a few Lamborghinis, Mercedes, and Ford GTs.
Not into cars? That's alright, the winery had food and wine lovers covered as well. Local eateries displayed their specialties inside the main banquet hall, and the Winery hand-picked its wines to match perfectly with the luncheon eats. But what could not have been matched more perfectly were the pristine sports cars and the clear, sunny and cool day. It was the epitome of Spring.
There were two highlights of my time at Ferraris on the Vine. One was meeting its leading lady, Claudia Rinaldi, who worked tirelessly on behalf of Williamsburg Winery to put on this spectacular show. The other was having the opportunity to take the brand-new 2011 Ferrari California for a spin. (Thanks to my friends at Foreign Cars Italia!)
The cars were natural models; therefore, I was not stingy on the photos. Please visit my Flickr page to see a full slideshow from the event.
Overall, the occasion was one to be remembered, featuring some of the most desireable and beautifully-designed supercars in the world. If you live in the region, it is definitely worth marking on your 2012 calendar. Learn more about the history of the event in my article from March.
