Ferragamo celebrates its new Fiamma handbag collection

Karolina Kurkova and Lily Aldridge celebrated the Salvatore Ferragamo FIAMMA Handbag Launch Dinner at Casa Lever, New York on Tuesday May 6, 2014. Other attendees included Anne V, Jessica Hart, Langley Fox Hemingway, Sean O'Pry, Sophie Auster, Louisa Gummer, Laura Love, Maryna Linchuk, Jessica Joffe, Martha Hunt, Melusine Ruspoli and Genevieve Jones all wearing head-to-toe Salvatore Ferragamo.

Later that night, the Ferragamo family hosted an intimate dinner in celebration of the new handbag collection inspired by family legacy. Joining the Ferragamo family were VIP guests including Karolina Kurkova, Lily Aldridge, Langley Fox Hemingway, Mariel Hemingway, Alexandra Richards, Jessica Hart, Louisa Gummer, Anika Poitier, Sophie Auster, Lola Schnabel, Stella Schnabel, Jacqueline Beaurang, Lauren Remington Platt, Jessica Joffee, Anne V, Laura Love, Princess Melusine Ruspoli, Hanayo Nakajima, Maryna Linchuk, Harry Brant, Sean O'Pry, Garrett Neff, and Martha Hunt all wearing Ferragamo.

The collection is dedicated to Fiamma Ferragamo, Salvatore's late daughter and innovator of the first Ferragamo handbag collection and the iconic Vara pump. In conjunction with the bag's launch Ferragamo also launched the Fiamma film series today on May 7, 2014. It embodies an eclectic curation of girls from iconic families globally in conversational chapters transcending generations. The films explore the bonds between these unique women and the inherent skills, interests and styles they share and the invaluable wisdom passed down from mother to daughter, sister to sister, friend to friend.

Featured subjects included Mariel and Langley Fox Hemingway in Los Angeles, Stella and Lola Schnabel with Jacqueline Beaurang in New York, Anika and Sydney Poitier, daughters of Sidney Poitier in Los Angeles, Helena Bordon with Marcella and Luciana Tranchesi in Sao Paolo, Melusine Ruspoli and mother Theresa Ruspoli in Rome, Claudine and Flora Zeta Cheong-Leen in Paris/Hong Kong and Hanayo and Tenko Nakajima in Brooklyn/Tokyo and Berlin.
