The long awaited return of boxer and Valley favorite, Fernando Samaniego is over. The super bantamweight will fight on tonight's Iron Boy Promotions card at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona in a 4 round bout against Raul Carillo of El Paso, Texas.
Samaniego is an exciting fighter to watch, his ring entrance hypes the crowd and he never disappoints in the ring.
In his last fight, Samaniego battled with Anthony Fraguada in an all out war. To the amazement of the crowd, Samaniego was dropped in the first round. He had to dig deep, and he did to go on to win by KO in round 2 by throwing a barrage of punches to the head and body of Fraguada. It was later learned that Samaniego had injured his ankle early in round 1 and fought hurt.
