Ferg's holds finals in battle of the bands competition tonight.

ST. PETERSBURG: Every Tuesday for the past 5 weeks, since Tuesday February 15th, Tampa Bay Area bands have been competing in the Ferg’s Battle of the Bands competition for a slew of great prizes. Every week the fans would vote and choose a winner that would advance to the finals. Tonight is the night that those bands will compete in the finals.

All total, 8 great local bands will perform in tonight’s competition. Here is the band performance schedule for tonight's competition:

Voting will begin at 10:30pm. The winner of the competition will win the following prizes:

  • 1 years worth of paid gigs at Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill.
  • A new band website.
  • Cash.
  • Gift certificates.
  • New gear.
  • A social media marketing package.

Along with all the great music that you will hear at the event tonight, and to offer the fans an opportunity to both give and receive, Seminole Music & Sound and Berk Photography have teamed up on a special raffle.

The raffle will be held tonight at the finals for Ferg’s Battle of the Bands Competition. Each raffle ticket costs $2.00 and earns the ticket holder a chance to win one of the three great items that will be raffled off. You must be present to win.

All proceeds from the raffle ticket sales will go to benefit the family of fallen St. Petersburg police officer, David Crawford. Officer Crawford, a 25-year veteran of SPPD, was killed in the line of duty on February 21st, 2011. Proceeds from the raffle will go directly to the Officer David Crawford Memorial Fund, managed by Suncoast Law Enforcement Charities.

The finals of the Ferg’s Battle of the Bands Competition will be held at Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill is located in downtown St. Petersburg at 1320 Central Avenue. There is no cover charge for tonight’s event. For more information, call 727-822-4562.
