Feorran shows off fall 2014 at New York Fashion Coterie

Daniel Quintanilla

Feorran revealed its latest offerings in its fall 2014 collection Monday, February 24 at ENK Coterie in New York, NY with pieces expressing the meaning of Feorran, designed by Fan Yang.

Fan says the english term for Feorran means from afar because Fan originally is from China being in the United States for 15 years now, and that distance creates beauty.

Fan says Feorran uses very expensive silk and wool material, but have managed to make prices of their pieces livable while creating playful pieces out of their designs which too includes 100 percent cashmere.

The color palate of Feorran involves golden yellow, gray, white, and deep navy blue originating from Impressionism huntings ending up rich for the fall & winter season, Feorran too has leather pieces & silk dress pieces.

Fan also pointed out very unique designs like double-sleeve found in their long sleeve tunic, or double-sided pieces displayed in mid-sleeve leather coat, sleeveless leather dress, flip leather skirt, and front-slit leather skirt.

Fan Yang seeked inspiration for fall 2014 based on her studies in architecture playing with arthitectural shapes also using centric lines & grid along with color box & layers being the signature of Fan Yang's Feorran.
