Treasure maps the very phrase conjures images of pirates, deserted islands and chests full of golden coins and sparkling gemstones. If you’ve ever been to Disney Land or Disney World the ride Pirates of the Caribbean, or the movie of the same name, creates the perfect pirate treasure fantasy.
Is there a treasure map in your future? There can be. Begin your New Year focused on the future you desire and create a treasure map to support your intention.
The magic of a Feng Shui treasure map lies in the power of intention. When you create a treasure map while focused on your intention a little bit of magic happens.
Materials-
1. Purchase an assortment of home and inspirational magazines, some of my favorites are: Elle Home Décor, Oprah, Traditional Home and Real Simple. (Each of these magazines often has beautiful pictures and affirmational quotes or statements.)
2. Pictures of yourself, family and friends.
3. A large poster board.
4. Glue sticks.
5. Scissors.
6. Small objects that you’d like to include (feathers, coins, etc.)
The process-
Treasure maps and collages capture your thoughts, your desires and intention with a series of images. You select the images from a series of magazines and pictures of your choice. The images you choose should be images that convey the image of what you desire. As you select these images, do so with a spirit of abundance, gratitude and joy.
Once you have gathered quite a few images, begin to place them on your poster board. Try not to think too much about how you are going to place the images, let the images find their own place. Trust the process.
The way you feel strongly affects the outcome of the treasure map, it’s best to begin the process when your heart and mind are in alignment with your desired outcome.
Once you feel the images are placed perfectly, glue them in place. Then hang your treasure map in a place where you’ll see it daily. Placing it where you’ll see it will support and reinforce your intention – and that creates the magic that brings your intention, your desire to you.
Intention + Affirmation = Energy
And energy creates the movement that makes change. Embrace your intention this year, create a treasure map and follow where it leads!
