Monday, Charlie Sheen appeared in court and pleaded guilty to a serious felony charge, prosecutors dropped the charge from the Christmas day charges that his wife filed. Charlie’s wife, Brooke said Christmas day that he came after her with a knife and Sheen was arrested and spent the day in jail.

Brooke has since dropped the charges and prosecutors said it would be difficult to go to court without her testimony, so the felony charge was dropped from the charges against him. The couple reconciled after the alleged attack and she refused to cooperate.

Monday, Charlie Sheen pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 3 months of probation and 36 hours of anger management. Many people have asked if this punishment fit the crime, but legal experts said that the prosecutors were lucky to get a guilty plea from Sheen knowing that his wife wasn’t going to testify.

As Charlie Sheen left the courthouse on Monday, he was asked by reporters what he was going to next, Sheen responded: “Going to Disneyland.”

In February, Sheen checked himself into rehab and Two and a Half Men production was put on hold.

Charlie Sheen, 44, is the son of Martin Sheen, and brother of actor-director Emilio Estevez. Sheen is the star of Two and a Half Men, a TV sitcom; and has starred in numerous movies including Wall Street and Platoon. In 2008, Charlie Sheen was the highest paid TV actor in making $825,000 per episode.
