Felicia Day coming to Denver Comic Con (Photos)

Denver geeks celebrated today with the news that none other than Felicia Day has been added to the Denver Comic Con guest list. The second annual Denver Comic Con will take place at the Colorado Convention Center May 31-June 2, 2013, and already tickets are selling fast. No doubt due to the fact that the celebrity guest lineup incredibly includes Stan Lee, Felicia Day, George Takei, Wil Wheaton, Eddie McClintock, and more to be announced. Well known and loved as everybody’s favorite geek, Felicia Day will be joined by fellow The Guild cast members Wil Wheaton, Robin Thorsen, and Sandeep Parikh. Supernatural fans know Day from her character Charlie Bradbury from the episodes LARP and the Real Girl and The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo. Rumors have it that Day will return later this season on the show.

Other guests include Chewbacca’s Peter Mayhew, and Hawaiian-born actress Kelly Hu known for her movie roles in The Scorpion King and X2, The Vampire Diaries, Hawaii Five-0, and Arrow. Comic book fans have an exciting guest list to look forward to. Set to appear are from Marvel, DC Comics, Dark Horse Comics Phil Jimenez of(Star Trek/Legion of Superheroes, Wonder Woman, Adventure Comics, Infinite Crisis, Paul Ryan of Fantastic Four, The Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, The Phantom - King Features, D.P.7, Herb Trimpe the co-creator of Wolverine, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Rebekah Isaacs of Angel & Faith, DV8, Golden Age, the great Allen Bellman of Captain America, The Human Torch, Sub-Mariner fame, and Zombie King Arthur Suydam of Batman, Conan, Tarzan, Aliens, Marvel Zombies.

The event raises funds for the non-profit organization Comic Book Classroom. This charity is a Non-profit organization created for low income schools and communities to help children with reading and writing difficulties. It's a six week program geared towards needy kids by utilizing comic books and graphic novels as a teaching tool. By the end of the program, these kids will have actually written and designed their own comic books. Have fun and raise money for a good cause.
