Feist releases fall 2011 tour dates

Today (July 28) Canadian singer-songwriter Feist released a mini fall 2011 tour in support of her upcoming fourth studio album Metals. So far the tour only has 8 dates, and starts on November 2nd in Brooklyn, NY and concludes on November 17th in Seattle, WA. Feist will be playing in Chicago, IL on November 4th at the Riviera Theatre.

Her 8 date tour will not only be hitting Chicago but also, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Portland. No word yet on who will be opening for Fesit on her fall 2011 tour. Feist previously played at the 2,300 capacity Riv Theatre in Chicago back in November 2007. She has also appeared at Lollapalooza 2006, and at the Ravinia Festival in 2008.

Leslie Feist will be releasing Metals on October 4th via Cherrytree/Interscope Records. The 12-track album Metals was recorded in Toronto and Big Sur, California with collaborations from, Valgeir Sigurðsson, Chilly Gonzales and Mocky.

Metals will be her follow-up to the 2007 album, The Reminder which debuted on Billboard 200 at No. 16. It went on the reach gold status in the US, and platinum status in Canada.

Feist's fall 2011 tour will be her first since 2008. On May 3, 2009 she did play at Radio City Music Hall, in New York, but no heavy touring followed that performance. She did join Broken Social Scene on stage for a couple of performances in the summer of 2009, which included Broken Social Scene's North by Northeast performance. All of her current fall 2011 tour dates are listed below.
